Proposed Station Groups Reorganisation: Details for the Central line

London Underground's proposed new groups for the Central line are as follows:

Greenford - West Ruislip, Ruislip Gardens, South Ruislip, Northolt, Greenford, Perivale, Hanger Lane, Ealing Broadway, West Acton, North Acton, East Acton, White City, Shepherd's Bush - 13 stations, c.135 staff

  • This is the current Greenford group with White City and Shepherd's Bush stations added. Greenford group currently has 102 staff; White City has 14, Shepherd's Bush 25, and their share of their current group's reserve is around 14. Total = 155. So, management's proposals represent the loss of around 20 jobs on these stations.

A Member Speaks ...

"Being a member of the RMT has been one of the best decisions I have made since joining the Underground. Throughout my career, whether it be confirmation of CSA rights, attending meetings with management etc, I have always been fully supported. Within the RMT there is always someone on hand to help and advise you.

A message to Central Line staff - Stop Casualisation & De-Staffing: VOTE YES!

London Underground’s attacks on its workforce will affect us right here on the Central Line.

TICKET OFFICE CLOSURES

Several Central line ticket offices are scheduled to close - Barkingside, Buckhurst Hill, Debden, Fairlop, Perivale, Ruislip Gardens, South Ruislip, West Acton and West Ruislip. Most of the rest will have their window opening times cut.

That means staff displaced, increased workload for those remaining, and more frustrated and angry passengers.

Save Our Ticket Offices

More details are emerging of LUL’s plan to decimate ticket offices. Hardly a station in our branch’s area is unaffected. Several ticket offices eg. Barkingside, Buckhurst Hill, Debden are Fairlop, are scheduled to close. Others, including Bank, St. Paul’s, Epping and Loughton, will see window opening times severely cut. Your local RMT rep will refuse to agree to cuts.
