Guidance for Station Staff Level 1 Representatives: Roster Consultation 2010

The roster consultation has begun. You will be called to a meeting by your GSM, then have a period of time to consult members, and the meeting will reconvene after three weeks for you to give feedback.

The weeks in which these meetings should take place are as follows:

Collective Grievance for Liverpool Street Group

Our fundamental objections are to:

ALDGATE
1 full time SAMF to go!
SAMFs no longer a 0700-1100 duty, it is no 0615-1400 with a 0515 start on some Thursdays.

BARBICAN
1 full time CSA to go!
reduction in weekends for CSAs
2 duties to cover at Liverpool Street station – which may be seen as a further dilution of rostered status.
FARRINGDON
1 full time CSA job to go
Fewer weekends off

Easthammer 8

Right Issue 8 (Yeah I know I forgot to upload a few dont blame me I was born stupid)

Obviously about the job cuts etc etc blah blah with a few other random Rants

Criticism of the Proposed Ticket office Roster for Liverpool Street Station

One of the SAMFs at Liverpool Street Station and a recent recruit to the RMT Union supplied me with some excellent criticism of the proposed job cuts and roster, he wrote:

Report: Stations & Revenue Council meeting, 14 April 2010

Referral from Embankment group: proposed roster changes

Local management are trying to cut a Supervisor post at Mansion House, claiming that the meal break turn is no longer needed. The GSM originally claimed that this was due to the closure of Blackfriars station, but management also claimed that absenteeism was an issue. RMT opposes this move, because:

A new CSA roster for Liverpool Street Station

Thursday 28th of May 2009 – Thursday 18th of June 2009

A New Roster.

A new roster was proposed by BNS as part of a SATS review to better meet the business needs of both Liverpool Street and Aldgate stations. An integral part of this roster is the addition of 4 weeks with a concomitant increase in staff at Liverpool Street; because BNS do not require SATS over the weekend and arranged its schematics to fit business needs the additional four weeks were to be worked Monday through to Friday with no additional weekend shifts.

'RMT Platform' 7 October 2008: LUL Threatens CSAs With Displacement

The new issue of our 'RMT Platform' newsletter is out now. It responds to management's letter threatening to displace CSAs, provides 'know your rights' guides for the Special Requirements Team and for weekend part-timers, reports the latest news on the new Wood Lane station, and promotes next Monday's mass meeting and the Station & Revenue Grades meeting.

Click on the file name below to download and print it. You can also pick up colour printed copies from the regional office at Unity House. Please circulate it at work.

New Westfield shopping centre - the impact on stations

Here are some statistics about the new Westfield shopping centre due to open at the end of this month in the White City / Shepherd's Bush area. This will clearly have a big impact on workload for station staff, particularly at White City, both Shepherd's Bush stations and the new Wood Lane station. It gives some context to RMT's concerns about the inadequate planned rosters and staffing levels at Wood Lane.

Ex-Silverlink staff: who do they work for??

Stations and Revenue functional reps and the local rep on the Wembley Central group had a meeting on Tuesday 15th to discuss the absolute disgraceful rosters which the ex-silverlink staff are currently working. The staff are still working to rosters from the old days under the Silverlink which in most cases mean a minimum of a six day week and some almost unlimited days working!! One example shows only one fixed Rest day in a four week roster!
