Support the Postal Strike!

RMT fully supports postal workers in their fight against Royal Mail's attacks on their working conditions. The posties' union, the CWU, has supported us in our disputes this year, with CWU rep Mark Palfrey speaking at two of our mass meetings. RMT picket lines have also received visits - and gifts! - from postal workers.

Industrial Action at British Transport Police

  • Circular from RMT General Secretary
  • Circular from RMT Stations Safety Council

    =====

    The General Secretary of TSSA, Gerry Doherty, has written to inform the RMT of impending strike action by TSSA members in the BTP First Contact Centre and Force Control Rooms scheduled for 18th and 19th April 2009. Needless to say RMT members will do all that we can, within the law, to support our brothers and sisters at TSSA.

  • Support the April 24 Strike Day

    An NUT rep writes: “The National Union of Teachers, together with UCU (college lecturers) and PCS (civil servants) will strike on Thursday 24 April. NUT and UCU balloted members when the government announced below-inflation pay deals that mean real-term pay cuts. They are to be joined by members of PCS from the Department of Transport and Department for Work and Pensions who have continuing disputes with the government.
