Attendance: 18 members attended from Kings Cross, Embankment, Gloucester Road, Edgware, Goodge St, Victoria, Charing Cross, Bank, Camden, Arnos Grove, Paddington and Heathrow.

1. New Venue: The meeting took a vote on the venue, time and date. It was decided to move future meetings to the downstairs meeting room in Unity House on the Tuesday before Regional at 16:00hrs.

2. New Chair: Malcolm Taylor was voted in as the new chair.

The next SRGM will be on Thursday 25th September at 15:00hrs at the Exmouth Arms. At this meeting we will discuss a change of venue, day and time for future meetings to try and make it more accessable to members, so please come along and have your say.

Rickmansworth

In dispute over the planned forced moves of CSA’s who are on group as ‘over establishment’.

Ballot returned after being open for one week, 66 members were balloted papers returned 29 yes and 2 no.
Excellent 93% majority in favour of strike action.
A date of Thursday 7th has been called for a 24 hour stoppage on the Ricky group starting at 0530.

Eastham.

The next SRGM will be held on Thursday 31st July at 15:00hrs upstairs at the Exmouth Arms near Euston. All members are welcome to attend, for more information call Brian Haughian on 07834 117 509.

The SRGM is a good forum for members and reps to find out what is happening on other groups, so that they can import the best practices to their own group and when fighting for better local agreements it can strengthen your argument by highlighting what is done on other groups.

1. Coverage / vacancies

   The local rep highlighted a particular problem at Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Circus: loads of posts vacant; part-time duties left uncovered; GSM claims Resourcing not releasing staff to fill vacancies; two platforms having no announcements during the peaks.

   Agreed that the local rep should demand an emergency level 1 meeting.

RMT holds monthly meetings open to all station and revenue staff. Some issues we discussed at the last one:

• Management's treatment of staff who need time off for domestic emergencies differs widely across groups. We plan to oppose abuses and demand a 'levelling up' of all groups to the standards of the best.
• Some groups have guaranteed rest day patterns for reserve staff; others don’t. RMT will aim for the best across the job.
• We are planning a 'know your rights' guide about attendance and disciplinary rights.
