ACAS Review Update
Your representatives report ...
Meetings so far have worked on separating the health and safety issues from the industrial relations issues which are contained within the collective grievances. This process took up until 12pm on Friday 14 January, after which reps and managers were due to sort out the timeframes to deal with the industrial relations content in the colective grievances.
The Ticket office reviews are expected to kick off at ACAS next Tuesday from 1300 (Neil Cochrane and John Kelly will attend).
On Thursday, the Equality review is expected to kick off (Janine Booth and RMT's staff member for equalities have been stated as leading these).
Bad news though. RMT asked LU management to release local union representatives for stations to deal with the preparation work needed, but management responded that we can do that over the phone! This is unacceptable: we believe that we need to sit down with the reps and get clarification on the points they have raised and cross reference this with the rosters and Business Needs Schematics amongst other things. This issue has been referred back to LU and trade union head offices to meet back at ACAS to decide the way forward. Your reps believe that we need this release to do the reviews properly.
