Stations Framework
Management have posted a copy of the Framework agreement on the intranet stating that this has been agreed by your reps. It is true that the majority of the document is close to being agreed but it is by no means a finished article and the meetings continue to try and get to a point where by we are in a position to ratify this agreement.
One of the purposes of negotiating a new framework was to try and remove the ambiguity from the old one and make it clearer for both staff and management to apply in the workplace, however there are still sticking points within the agreement that still need to be ironed out before any full agreement can be reached.
There are concerns for example on how Schedule 2 , 1.2 is being utilised on stations and this TU is advising our members that as this Framework has not been ratified yet then the status quo remains with regards to resident staff working on other stations within their group, for which A) must be with their agreement B) the request or requirement must arise out of an unanticipated occurrence.
Before your Stations and Revenue Reps fully agree any document it will be circulated to the level 1 reps for comments and ideas so that all reps and memebers are aware of what is being agreed and discussed. Any concerns should be raised firstly with your local rep or emailed to myself (Malcolm Taylor) so that we can address them at the appropriate forum.
