  • This is the current Acton Town group, with no changes to the stations included. Currently, Acton Town group has 142 staff. So, management's proposals represent the loss of around 32 jobs on these stations.

Heathrow - Heathrow Terminal T123, Heathrow T4, Heathrow T5, Hatton Cross, Hounslow West, Hounslow Central, Hounslow East, Osterley - 8 stations, c.125 staff

  • This is the current Heathrow group, with no change to the stations included. Currently, Heathrow group has 144 staff. So, management's proposals represent the loss of around 19 jobs on these stations.

Green Park - Knightsbridge, Hyde Park Corner, Green Park, Leicester Square - 4 stations c.145 staff

  • This is the current Green Park group, with Leicester Square added. Currently, Green Park group has 113 staff; Leicester Square has 42, and its share of its current group's reserve is around 16. Total = 171. So, management's proposals represent the loss of around 26 jobs on these stations.

Russell Square - Covent Garden, russell Square, Caledonian Road, Holloway Road, Arsenal, Finsbury Park - 6 statons, c.140 staff

  • This is the current Finsbury Park group, with Manor House removed and Covent Garden and Russell Square added. Currently, Finsbury Park group has 120 staff (of which 17 are at Manor House, whose share of the reserve is around 6); Covent Garden has 29, Russell Square 21, and their share of their current group's reserve is around 19. Total = 166. So, management's proposals represent the loss of around 26 jobs on these stations.

Arnos Grove - Manor House, Turnpike Lane, Wood Lane, Bounds Green, Arnos Grove, Southfields, Oakwood, Cockfosters - 8 stations, c.135 staff

  • This is the current Arnos Grove group with Manor House added. Currently, Arnos Grove group has 131 staff; Manor House has 17, and its share of its current group's reserve is around 6. Total = 154. So, management's proposals represent the loss of around 19 jobs on these stations.

Piccadilly line totals - 5 groups, 37 stations, c.655 staff
Current totals - 6 groups, 37 stations, 777 staff
Total loss of jobs on the Piccadilly line = c.122

Current Green Park group reserve staff would have to work at Leicester Square as well as at the stations that they cover at present. They will incur extra travelling time, and more unpredictability in allocation of duties.

Current Finsbury Park group reserve staff would have to work at Covent Garden and Russell Square as well as at the stations that they cover at present. This represents significant extra travelling time for staff, many of whom live in north London, or even north of London.

Current Arnos Grove group reserve staff would have to work at Manor House as well as at the stations that they cover at present.

Current Leicester Square group reserve staff would probably be redeployed to either the new Green Park group reserve or the new Russell Square group reserve, and may not get to choose which. So they could end up working as far west as Knightsbridge or as far north/east as Finsbury Park. This will be a significant change, and will incur a big increase in travelling time and in the unpredictability and inconvenience of their duties.
