Shepherds Bush Central upgraded to SS1
Shepherds Bush and Wood Lane station under went a review today, where your reps and LU management visit the station to assess everything from UTS gates, Staff levels, POMs, Lifts and Escalators to passenger foot fall which all carry an amount of points under the complexity review. Then tallying up the points after reviewing everything on the station the total score determines what grade SS that Station is or becomes.
To get a station up to SS1 it needs to reach 150 points and some of the criteria used to assess the score is very much open to interpretation so after much debate your reps argued various points and we are glad to announce that Shepherds Bush will be made up to SS1 in the near future with the Rostered Supervisors getting the opportunity to gain the necessary licenses to become SS1.
Unfortunately Wood lane fell very short of a regrade to SS2, mainly owing to the low passenger numbers through the station on an average day.
If your station has had major works done in recent years or the local area has changed and passenger flow has increased drastically please contact the Stations functional for advice on any issues surrounding the complexity review.
