RMT Puts Your Issues on the Agenda
Submitted by admin on Sat, 06/06/2009 - 13:19
RMT has tabled the following issues for discussion at the Stations & Revenue Council meeting later this month.
- Etiquette of functional council meetings – As per 27th February 2002 Functional council minutes the governance of the meetings was agreed. We want a reminder of this agreement stated in meetings so both parties are aware of their roles and these roles adhered to.
- Machinery not being followed - GSM’s frustrating the Machinery by not completing their relevant sections on referrals in the set time scheduled, therefore not allowing us to get items on this agenda.
- Back door job cuts – despite staff side’s request for an emergency ad-hoc to discuss this issue and managements response. We believe that figures for the RCi’s are incorrect, new proposed rosters and refurbishments cutting number of windows therefore jobs and have evidence that many part time and full time vacancies are being left vacant.
- Duties left uncovered – Referral East Ham regarding uncovered duties and these duties not put out on O/T even though BNS states why that duty exists. (Problem not only at East Ham, Charing Cross referral also on way up).
- Earls Court Group rosters – Management and Staff side referral from ECT group.
- Office staff being lift trained – TSSA item
- Return to Work interviews – GSM’s stating to Staff that when returning from sickness they either a) Can not return to Rest day or Annual leave, or b) Have to come in to carry out RTWi on their R/D or A/L
- £5 trial – informed that the £5 top up trial will be extended by reading the On the Move magazine and viewing the posters that have been produced before consultation at sub group (following on from last year’s problems with regards to lack of communication).
- Flexible working meetings – management quoting incorrect statements of fact during these meetings even threatening the employee that their flexible working was dependant on their attendance. Reminder to GSM’s of policy. (will expand on content upon request)
- Higher grade working – A reminder of the functional agreement and get clarification.
- Increase of off line working events – Revenue failure to agree.
