The RMT wishes to inform you that its members on the Willesden Green Group have voted to withdraw their labour from 18.49 Wednesday 8th April until 18.48 on Thursday 9th April 2009.

(The Willesden Green Group includes the stations between Dollis Hill and St. John’s Wood).

The RMT understands that different customers will have different feelings and thoughts about staff taking industrial action.

However, the RMT would like to say that its members on the Willesden Green Group are decent people who have been repeatedly subject to discrimination and harassment by LUL management.

It gives the members of the Willesden Green Group RMT members no pleasure to withdraw their labour but it is done to highlight the abuse they have been subject to by LUL management.

Wherever you work everybody knows that when rules and the law are abused and ignored by management then discrimination and bullying soon follow.

LUL management are responsible for the discrimination and bullying that is happening on the Willesden Green Group.

This abuse, discrimination and harassment of staff by management has not ceased.

Individual members and representatives have used their best efforts but are confronted with further abuse and irrational and illogical statements.

The RMT has called upon LUL management to join with us and invite the Equalities and Human Rights Commission into the workplace and assess whether LUL is complying with its Equality Duties established by law for all Public Authorities.

LUL management have refused.

The RMT members who work on the Willesden Group, like you, have bills to pay and care for their family but today they withdraw their labour to oppose discrimination and abuse by LUL management.
