Stop Casualisation And De-staffing: Vote Yes

There is a list of issues on which your union is in dispute with LUL management. But there is really only one:
London Underground should be adequately staffed by London Underground employees with safe and secure working conditions.

LUL management has a set of plans that go against this basic principle. If we do not take a stand against these plans, then we can look forward to:

  • Dozens of stations without ticket offices; most of the rest with shorter opening hours.
  • Station Supervisors covering several stations at once.
  • Station Supervisor jobs being replaced by security guards at night.
  • Fewer LUL station staff, supplemented by agency staff on much worse pay and conditions.
  • Hardly any promotion opportunities for CSAs and SAMFs.
  • New stations, lines and extensions being in private hands, staffed by private companies.
  • A heavier workload, more working alone, and more grief from frustrated passengers.
  • Unsafe working conditions with weaker rights to stand up to them.

We have a simple choice - to accept this or to fight it. RMT and TSSA are both balloting their members to defend your job and your working conditions. Make sure you VOTE YES.
