SRT Staff: How You Can Get Involved in RMT
Submitted by janine on Fri, 28/11/2008 - 19:31
- Come to our open day for SRT staff on Monday 8 December.
- Come to our monthly RMT station and revenue grades meetings - on the Tuesday before the last Thursday of each month except December, at 4pm in RMT's head office, Unity House (39 Chalton Street, between Euston and King's Cross / St.Pancras stations). More details from Brian Haughian 07949-163470.
- Go to your branch meeting. For now, SRT staff are in the Bakerloo line branch, which meets on the first Thursday of each month at 4pm in the Clachan pub on Kingly Street, near Oxford Circus station. More details from Brian Munro 07947-316259. RMT’s Executive may allocate you into different branches in the future.
- If you need representation because you have been called to a disciplinary interview, or you want to raise a grievance, contact us to arrange for an RMT rep to advise and accompany you.
- Check out our websites regularly (details on back page) and circulate information from the websites at work.
- Encourage your workmates to join RMT.
- Report any concerns about workplace safety to RMT's health & safety reps; and familiarise yourself with your right to refuse to work on the grounds of heath & safety concerns.
- Check workplace noticeboards for news of RMT events.
- If you would like to get involved in RMT's political campaigning, please get in touch.
- RMT has networks for young members, women workers, and other groups - for details of these, contact Janine Booth.
