Dispute May Be Necesary Over London Undergrounds Use Of PMAs In Disciplinary Procedures

We note the resolution from our London Transport Regional Council, and share its concern at London
Underground’s continuing use of ‘People Management Advice specialists’ (PMAs) in the disciplinary
process, to the detriment of our members’ right to a just process.

As requested, we instruct the General Secretary to write to London Underground Ltd demanding a full and
open investigation into the conduct of PMAs, to establish:

  • proof of the PMAs’ role
  • verification of PMAs’ credentials

A resolution has already been noted and passed in respect of PMA’s no longer being involved in "any" aspect of disciplinaries and that "disciplinaries" are postponed until a full investigation is carried out ref: official circular no: 437.

Review Of Disciplinary And Grievance Procedure – London Underground

We note the resolution from our London Transport Regional Council, and the proof that has emerged
that People Management Advice Specialists (PMAs) have interfered in the issuing of disciplinary
sanctions against our members employed by London Underground Ltd in breach of the LUL
disciplinary procedure and of natural justice.

Accordingly, we instruct the General Secretary to provide all appropriate support in the particular case
referred to, and to write immediately to London Underground Ltd demanding:
