Advice from RMT to members and/or reps
London Underground has transformed its PMA team and parted company with many of them.
As a result they now don't have enough PMAs to cover all the case conferences that they like to force members to attend when they are off sick.

This employment tribunal decision which states 'release for health and safety reps cannot be refused for operational reasons' is an excellent victory for the RMT and the wider trade union movement.

The RMT has submitted a Freedom of Information request that has revealed that stations were left unstaffed on at least 863 occasions last year, totalling 7490 hours.
This comes in spite of London Underground's promise following the much hated 'Fit for the Future' job cuts plan that all stations would be staffed during traffic hours.
