Subject: DISMISSAL, G. PLAISTER, CSA, PICCADILLY CIRCUS AREA – LONDON UNDERGROUND

That we note the resolution and share the concerns of our Bakerloo Line Branch around the arbitrary discounting of evidence and severity of sanction in comparison to
similar cases.

We therefore instruct the General Secretary to pursue the following course of defensive actions should Bro Glen Plaister’s coming appeal not result in his reinstatement; in line with the resolution:

  • Request a Director’s Review.
  • Support Glen through an Employment Tribunal claim.
  • Immediately declare a dispute with London Underground and prepare an industrial action ballot of all station grade members on the Bakerloo South Cover Group, with possible escalation to follow should this be unsuccessful.

Further; we instruct the General Secretary to place an updated report regarding the outcome of Bro Plaister’s appeal back in front of this NEC.

Members to be advised by email & text.

All operational London Underground branches & the London Transport Regional Council to be advised.
