This schedule specifies arrangement by which the Special Requirements Team operates in conjunction with the other schedules in this agreement.

  1. Manager responsible for SRT staff

1.1 The Manager responsible for SRT staff is the SRT Manager or his/her delegated representative, normally the SRT Duty Manager, when the SRT Manager is not on duty. The SRT Manager will decide on all matters concerning each employee's deployment and peformance in accordance with the Company's policies, rules and procedures and the other schedules of the Framework Agreement for station staffing.

  2. SRT Staff Deployment

2.1 SRT staff will be deployed anywhere within a nominated "SRT residential zone" and the "SRT central zone" to cover events, projects needs, in support of station groups, as determined by the SRT Manager.

2.2 SRT staff may be asked to work outside of the SRT central zone and not within their SRT residential zone with the agreement of the staff and travelling time will be within the allocated duty or paid at overtime, but consideration must be given to staff's home address to minimise travelling time.

2.3 The hours worked by SRT staff will be accumulated over a twelve week period. Hours worked in excess of contractual hours will be paid at the appropriate overtime rate. Where hours worked in the twelve week period are less than contractual hours, the shortage will be carried over to be worked in the following twelve week period only.

2.4 SRT staff will not be used to cover rostering arrangements which rostered or reserve staff would cover such as: sickness, absence, leave, training and vacancies.

2.5 SRT staff, where appropriately licensed and familiarised, can fulfil roles within a station Congestion Control and Emergency Plan and can be counted towards the minimum numbers set with the CCEP.

SRT staff can only be used at the location they are working at for Section 12 needs to keep that station open in unforeseen circumstances, sickness or absence of that shift only.

  3. Promotion and Job Transfer

3.1 Staff may carry out a mutual changeover between nominated residential zones and roster links by application to the SRT Manager.

3.2 The SRT Manager may negotiate a review of links and zones and will consult on grade numbers with the appropriate trades union representatives.

3.3 SRT staff who want to change residential zones will be considered before any other staff wanting to join the SRT at the same grade.

  4. Rostering parameters

4.1 SRT staff will be provided 28 days notice of duties and rest days.

4.2 SRT staff will be advised of their duties for the following week by midday Thursday.

There will be three roster links: early, late and mixed. A minimum of 28 days notice of duties will be given, but rest days once advised cannot be changed unless agreed by the member of staff affected.

There will be three roster links: early, late and mixed for SRT CSAs

    • Early fixed link duties will start between 06:00 and 08:00.
    • Late fixed link duties will start between 15:00 and 17:00, except where the late link member of staff is required to work occasional night duties.
    • Of mixed link duties, only late duties will be substituted by the occasional night duties for special events.
    • Mixed link duties will operate within the traffic day, with occasional night duties for special events.

4.3 Mixed link duties start times can be moved by up to 2 hours. A minimum of 24 hours notice will be given by mutual agreement.

4.4 SRT supervisors will work a mixed roster which may require night duties.

  5. Station Staffing Framework Variations
